LSD Kiteboarding is proud to introduce the products from legendary kiteboarding pioneer Lou Wainman and his new company Wainman Hawaii!

Who is Lou? - http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=KpBUQjb8cAQ - nuf said

The kites have had extensive research and development put into them and the past 2 years has been spent finding all the best materials that the world has to offer to make the most durable kites possible.

The 2009 Rabbit Series is the all round kite that has just been released. This series has 3 kites in the family, the 'Gypsy' 6.5m, the 'Smoke' 9m and the 'Boss' 12m. Each kite has its own graphics and its own design suited to the conditions it is to be used in.

The kites have great attention to detail and great finish and even have graphics on the inside of the kites.

The bar is also super simple and clean. It comes with 2 chicken loops, an unhook loop and loop with donkey dick. The chicken loop release is 'push away' which is the safest release method on the market. The Kite depowers in 2 ways, by pushing the bar out to fully depower the kite, or by releasing the kite onto a mini 5th line that connects to a front line re-ride system.
The bar comes with 17m lines with 7m extensions allowing you to ride, 7m (classic lou style), 17m or 24m lines in one setup.

The kite is suited to all levels and all styles of riding, freestyle, waves, freeride, and wakestyle. The kite itself has many tuning options on the kite to adjust the setup to suit your preference.

The rest of the 2009 range, Lou's Kite, the boards etc, is still in developement and should be ready between now and January 2009.

We will have the kites in next week hopefully and they will be available for demo in Sligo. We will also do a demo day in dublin soon enough and will have them at the IKSA tour stops later this year.

The rabbit series has just arrived to Ireland.
Haven't had a chance to fly them or even open them up yet, but well the bag looks nice!

So we've opened the kites and had a go!

the conditions?...a totally ballistic 6 whole knots, and getting dark!

So far the kites are built incredibly well, so much reinforcement and yet they remain very light. The package is very well though out and all the trimings make this kite one of the best we've seen (well considering its a 2009 model you expect a lot). In the air, we flew the Gypsy and Smoke, and even in the light super gusty breeze the kites sat well behaved in the sky. The low aspect ratio of the design (basially the width of the kite) make for a very stable kite.

The bridles on the kites are super small, which means no tangles or lines getting caught (we will try our best to get them tangled but it looks doubtful).

More info on how they really fly after the weekend. Eamon will be on dolymount this saturday the 16th (maybe 17th but TBC) weather permiting. He'll have a quiver of brand new Rabbit Gang kites ready to test for anyone who wants a blast.

anyway heres some more photos for the minute!
